Story of Malushahi and Rajula
Story of Malushahi and Rajula : A long time ago, there was a king named Raja Dham Sahi who ruled over a place called Katyuragarh. His wife’s name was Dharmavati. They really wanted a child, so they prayed to their family god for twelve years. Finally, their prayers were answered, and they had a beautiful baby boy. They named him Malu Sahi. Malu Sahi was a very smart and brave child.
At the same time, another baby girl named Rajula was born to Raja Saunpati Sonk in a place called Saunkot. It seemed like Malu Sahi and Rajula were meant to be together from the very beginning.
When Malu Sahi turned twelve years old, his father arranged for him to marry two beautiful princesses named Hansia and Kausia. Meanwhile, Rajula grew up and was old enough to get married. Many princes wanted to marry her, and her father agreed to marry her to Guna Pal, a prince from a place called Jalander. They set a date for the wedding.
A few nights before the wedding, Rajula had a dream about Malu Sahi, and Malu Sahi had a dream about Rajula. They both knew about each other’s dreams and felt that they were meant to be together. On his way, Malu Sahi passed through the land of the Durials, where seven witches lived. The witches saw Malu Sahi and fell in love with him. They tried to trick him, but Malu Sahi was too strong and smart for them, so he continued on his journey.
Malu Sahi then reached the Trijugi peak, a place where the god Siva lived. He prayed to Siva to help him in his mission to meet Rajula. After that, Malu Sahi continued his journey and finally reached Saunkot.
To avoid being recognized, Malu Sahi disguised himself as a holy man and sat outside Raja Saunpati’s palace. Raja Saunpati was impressed with Malu Sahi’s holiness and invited him inside the palace. Malu Sahi met Rajula inside the palace and told her about his dreams. They became very good friends.
As the wedding day of Rajula and Guna Pal approached, Rajula grew more and more worried about leaving with Malu Sahi. Finally, on the day of her wedding, Rajula ran away with Malu Sahi.
When Guna Pal found out that Rajula had run away, he chased after them with a large group of people. They caught up with Malu Sahi and Rajula when they were crossing a bridge over a river. Guna Pal’s men started to cross the bridge, but Malu Sahi cut the ropes, causing them to fall into the river and drown.
