The Prime Minister’s message also emphasized the need for the youth of Uttarakhand to return to their villages and contribute to the development of the mountainous regions.

PM Modi addressed the Uttarakhand Rozgar Mela, stressing the importance of employment opportunities and the role of the new National Education Policy.

The Prime Minister’s address highlighted the need for creating new opportunities for the youth of India and how the new National Education Policy is preparing them for the new century. He also highlighted the need to boost employment and self-employment opportunities, especially in the tourism sector, and how the Mudra Yojana is playing a crucial role in this regard. The Prime Minister’s message also emphasized the need for the youth of Uttarakhand to return to their villages and contribute to the development of the mountainous regions.

In a video message to the Uttarakhand Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of providing new opportunities to the youth of India. The Prime Minister stated that it is the constant endeavor of both the central and Uttarakhand governments to ensure that every young person has access to opportunities that align with their interests and enable them to move forward. He also highlighted that lakhs of young people in the country have received their appointment letters from the Central Government in the last few months and expressed his pleasure that Uttarakhand has become a part of it.

The Prime Minister laid emphasis on the new experiments taking place in the country’s educational sector and remarked that most of the newly appointed youth would serve in the field of education. He stated that the new National Education Policy has prepared the youth of India for the new century, and it is now the responsibility of the youth of Uttarakhand to take this resolution forward.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to break free from the old adage that the water and youth of the mountains are of no use to the mountains themselves. He highlighted the new employment and self-employment opportunities being created in the mountainous regions and urged the youth of Uttarakhand to return to their villages. The Prime Minister stated that the laying of new roads and rail lines is not only boosting connectivity but also creating many employment opportunities. He noted that job opportunities are getting a boost everywhere and gave examples of construction workers, engineers, raw material industries, and shops. The Prime Minister also noted the new opportunities being created due to an increase in demand in the transport sector.

The Prime Minister underlined that the tourism sector in Uttarakhand is expanding as a result of far-flung areas being connected by road, rail, and the internet, and said that new tourist places are coming up on the tourism map. Due to this, the youth of Uttarakhand are now getting the same employment opportunities near their homes instead of traveling to big cities. The Prime Minister highlighted that the Mudra Yojana is playing a crucial role in boosting employment and self-employment opportunities in the tourism sector. He gave examples of shops, dhabas, guest houses, and homestays, and highlighted the loans up to Rs 10 lakh being provided to such businesses without any guarantee. The Prime Minister also stated that the Mudra Yojana has provided 38 crore loans across the country, and approximately 8 crore young people have become entrepreneurs for the first time. He further added that the share of women and youth belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category is maximum.
