Gangu was a very rich man who owned lots of land and had many animals. He didn’t believe in gods and didn’t respect anyone. He took things from people without asking and made them pay extra taxes.

One day, a wise and powerful man named Krishna, who was actually a god, came to visit Gangu. He disguised himself as a Brahman, a holy man, and went to Gangu’s home. Gangu wasn’t there, but his wife and other people were surprised to see the holy man. The holy man said he was Gangu’s family priest and wanted to check Gangu’s horoscope to see if he would have a son. After looking at Gangu’s horoscope, the holy man disappeared.

When Gangu came back home, he heard about the holy man and didn’t believe in astrology. Suddenly, he started to feel pain in his back, and all his wealth and food disappeared. His animals got sick, and his crops stopped growing. Gangu asked his wife why this was happening, and she said it was because of the holy man’s anger.

Gangu and his family were very hungry, but he still didn’t believe in gods. One day, Krishna called out to Gangu from a mountain and offered to help him if Gangu built a temple for him. Gangu asked for proof that Krishna was his family god, and Krishna told him his family tree. But Gangu still didn’t believe, so Krishna challenged and defeated a powerful demon named Heramba.

Krishna then disguised himself as a sadhu, a wandering holy man, and went to Gangu’s home. Gangu didn’t treat the sadhu well and even tried to give him bad food. The sadhu cursed Gangu to become sick, and Gangu turned into a leper. Still, Gangu didn’t change his mind.

Finally, Krishna made all the water in Ramolihat dry up, and the people were suffering from thirst. Gangu’s wife, Mainavati, asked him to talk to the wise men to find out why this was happening. The wise men told Gangu that Krishna was angry with him and that he needed to go on a long journey to a place called Dwarka to ask for forgiveness. Gangu went to Dwarka and begged for forgiveness, and Krishna was happy with him.

Krishna told Gangu to build a temple for him in a place called Sem. Gangu built many temples, and when he finished, the gods made them disappear. Gangu built more temples, and this time, they stayed.
