Song in Honour of Nirankar
Song in Honour of Nirankar : Once upon a time, there was nothing but darkness. Only Nirankar, the Guru, was there. He wanted to create a beautiful world, so he rubbed his sides. From his sweat, two vultures were born – a female named Soni Garuri and a male named Brahma Garuri.
Nirankar was surprised because he wanted to create people, not vultures. But the vultures fell in love and wanted to marry each other. Soni, the female vulture, realized they were brother and sister and could not marry. She teased Brahma about his looks, and he cried.
Soni felt bad and picked up Brahma’s tears. They entered her body, and she became pregnant. She flew to Brahma and asked him to build a nest for her to lay her eggs. But Brahma was angry because Soni had become pregnant without him, and he thought she was ugly.
Soni began to cry, and Brahma, feeling sorry for her, agreed to let her lay her eggs on his wings. As she laid the eggs, they broke into two halves. The lower half became the earth, and the upper half became the sky. The water inside the eggs became the sea, and the land was made from the fleshy substance.
In the end, Nirankar created the world using the vultures’ eggs. And that’s how our beautiful world came to be.
