The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Uttarakhand has invited applications for Consultant positions in the Procurement, Audit, Construction, Training, and Placement departments. According to the official notification, only four vacancies are available for this post, and the recruitment will be on a contractual basis.
The last date for submitting applications is March 21, 2023, by 5:30 PM. The selection process involves an interview conducted by a Selection Committee appointed for this purpose, whose decision will be final. Only the selected candidates will be notified, and NIT Uttarakhand may undertake police verification if required.
The institute is looking for retired personnel to fill the post of Consultant in the Procurement, Audit, Construction, Training, and Placement areas. Interested candidates must fulfill the following qualifications and experience criteria:
Qualification for Consultant Vacancies :
- Consultant (Procurement): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Consultant (Audit): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Consultant (Construction): B.E./B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University/Institute/College.
- Consultant (Training & Placement): B.E./B.Tech. Degree or MBA Degree in the relevant field with first-class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10 point scale) and consistent excellent academic record.
Experience for Consultant Vacancies :
- Consultant (Procurement): At least 10-15 years of administrative experience in NITs/IITs/IIMs/Other Centrally funded Institutions, Central/State Govt. Offices, PSUs, PSBs, MNCs, etc., at an appropriate level with experience in Procurement-related matters.
- Consultant (Audit): At least 10-15 years of administrative experience in NITs/IITs/IIMs/Other Centrally funded Institutions, Central/State Govt. Offices, PSUs, PSBs, MNCs, etc., at an appropriate level with experience in Audit & accounting, financial matters, PFMS, Govt. financial management system, etc.
- Consultant (Construction): At least 20 years of experience in construction projects of repute and should have worked as Head (Civil works/GM (Civil) in Central PSU or SE in Central/State Government. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in constructing Green Buildings worth not less than 100 crore.
- Consultant (Training & Placement): At least 5-10 years of significant and proven experience in Campus Placement in NITs/IITs/IIMs/Other Centrally funded Institutions, Corporate relations, public relations, Career/manpower development and training in Central Govt. Offices, PSUs, PSBs, MNCs, etc.
The maximum age limit for this recruitment is 70 years. The selected candidates will be appointed on a contract basis for an initial period of 1 year, which can be extended based on satisfactory performance and submission of a Medical Certificate regarding fitness. It should be noted that the engagement of Consultants will be purely on a contract basis and will not confer any right for regular appointment in the Institute.
