The protest started at Gandhi Park and quickly spread to the streets of the city, causing major traffic disruptions. Despite the efforts of the District Magistrate to pacify the protesters, the situation escalated when the police resorted to a lathi charge. This further enraged the youth who started pelting stones at the police.

In light of the situation, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a statement, assuring the youth that their future will not be compromised. The CM stressed the importance of protecting the interests of the youth and promised to enact legislation to prevent cheating in exams. The CM also vowed to take strict action against those responsible for the recruitment scams.

The demonstration of the youth continues across the state, as they demand that anti-cheating laws be enacted before any recruitment examinations are conducted. The state spokesman of the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association, Suresh Singh, also spoke out against the rigging of exams, claiming that all exams conducted by the Public Service Selection Commission and the Subordinate Services Selection Commission have been heavily rigged.

As a result, many young people who took exams for positions such as police officers, patwaris, forest officers, and administrative roles are now left without jobs. The situation has called for strict action against those who have manipulated the recruitment process. The youth have made it clear that they will not stop protesting until their demands are met.
